In 2024, the Washington State Legislature approved HB 2112 to help address the opioid crisis in the state of Washington. HB 2112 requires higher education institutions to provide opioid and fentanyl education and awareness information to all students, parents, and legal guardians. To help prevent overdoses, higher education institutions are also required to make Naloxone (Narcan®) and fentanyl test strips available to students free of charge. These can be obtained for free through the vending machine located in building 7, just outside of our Mental Health Clinic entrance.
