The SFCC Library hosts many Learning Support services. The library has books, eBooks, magazines, course reserves, DVDs, and electronic resources like databases and peer-reviewed articles. There are 32 computer stations with printing capabilities for student use, as well as eight “huddle tables” with accessible seating and technology for groups or individuals. Students can check out laptops (mac and PC), hotspots, digital cameras, GoPro’s, video recorders, and more from the circulation desk. Librarians are available at the Reference Desk and via our 24/7 Chat with a Librarian for help with research, source evaluating, and citations. The Innovation Studio in room 114 is available to all students, faculty, and staff, and is equipped with studio lights, mac and touchscreen PC, and creative software including Adobe Create, Panopto, iMovie, and Garage band. Reservable spaces also include six quiet study rooms equipped with big screen computers, an accessible conference room, two instructional classrooms with computers, and The Talking Circle.
Academic Coaches can be found at the main floor, huddle table area at the North end of the building, and at the south you can drop into WorkForce Transitions Office. In the lower level of the building, the office of Career Education offers career planning, job search, and other employment resources including the Student Employment office. The C.E.E.D (Career Education Exploration and Development) is available for workshops and related events. Across the hallway in room 01, eLearning Student Success Coaches are available for drop in some days of the week and always by appointment. The Print Shop in room 010 serves students and staff for other printing services, and bus passes and student ID cards.
