Work-Study is a financial aid program that lets you earn money through part-time work. Awards are based on financial need, and funding is limited—so it’s first-come, first-served each year. Work-Study is not a grant—you must work to earn the funds.
- Federal Work-Study (FWS): Funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Available to students who demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA®.
- State Work-Study (SWS): Funded by Washington State. Available to eligible students who apply through the FAFSA® or WASFA.
Work-Study Awards Are Limited
Submit your FAFSA® or WASFA early each academic year to improve your chances of receiving a Work-Study award. Awards are first-come, first-served—don’t miss out!
