Mission Statement
The Flying Hands Club aims to increase the general understanding at SFCC of bicultural aspects of Deafness through opportunities for education, socialization, and cultural education.
All people are welcome in the Flying Hands Club, no matter their previous experience with Deaf culture. Deaf/deaf and Hard of Hearing students and students from countries other than the U.S. are also enthusiastically encouraged to join the Flying Hands Club and gain exposure to American Sign Language and American Deaf culture and traditions.
The only requirements are an open mind, willingness to learn, and a respectful attitude toward Deaf individuals and Deaf culture. The Flying Hands Club practices inclusivity and support of our many intertwining communities. Please come laugh, learn, and let your fingers fly with us!
