Canvas Login Information – Recent Change

PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION VERY CAREFULLY, AS THE CANVAS LOGIN PAGE HAS CHANGED.

You will note that this is not the regular Canvas login page that you are used to seeing.  Recently, security changes were implemented that required a change in how Canvas users within the Community Colleges of Spokane log into Canvas.

Canvas Login for Regular Users

Students, faculty, and staff, use this link to reach the main Canvas login page for the Community Colleges of Spokane.  The new login page looks similar to the ctcLink login page, except that it will indicate that you are logging into Canvas.

As before, you will continue to use your ctcLink credentials to log into Canvas.

For first time users, you must activate your ctcLink account in the Activate Your Account portal before you can log into Canvas.

If you do not remember your ctcLink password, you can reset it at the Reset Password page.  Please note, when you reset your ctcLink password, it may take up to 60 minutes for that information to be updated in Canvas.

Canvas Login Page for Users with Temporary or Guest Canvas Accounts

If you have a temporary or guest Canvas account that that uses your personal email address as the login ID, please use this link reach that login page.  These accounts are created for specific users by the eLearning Office.

If you had a temporary Canvas account, but you can now log into ctcLink, you need to use the Canva Login Page for Regular Users (information above).  Please contact the eLearning Office to have them merge your temporary Canvas account with your permanent account.

Other Important Canvas Information

For best results, use the latest versions of the Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge web browsers.  Internet Explorer is no longer a supported web browser and should never be used.

Please allow up to 3 hours for your Canvas dashboard to show any changes you made to your courses in ctcLink.

If you cannot find your courses in Canvas by the first day of instruction, or the course is showing as not being published in Canvas, please reach out to your instructors.  If you are not seeing your Canvas courses on your Dashboard or on your “All Courses” page, please contact the eLearning Office.
