SFCC received emergency funding to assist students experiencing financial hardship stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. SFCC received funding under the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) under the CARES Act, supplemental funding from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II) established by the CRRSAA Act signed into law by President Trump and additional supplemental funding from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) established by the American Rescue Plan signed into law by President Biden.

SFCC’s HEERF Application is closed. Applications for HEERF/Additional HEERF funding have been evaluated in date range order and due to the heavy volume of applications and eligible students, SFCC’s allocation of HEERF funding is now exhausted.

Process

Emergency Relief Funds were available to help students with emergency costs due to COVID-19, including tuition, food, housing, healthcare, or childcare.

Applications were reviewed in date range order. Any requests for additional information were communicated via the Student Homepage in ctcLink via the task list and emailed from the Financial Aid office. Once applications were reviewed, students were emailed regarding the outcome of their Emergency Request Application.

Funding was disbursed using student refund preferences established with BankMobile. To ensure timely processing, students were requested to ensure their email and address was current with the Admissions Office.
