Building 5 is one of the original buildings from 1967. Many of the English, Communications and Humanities classes are held here.

The Communications Learning Center assists students with instruction in basic learning skills such as reading comprehension and speed, writing, study skills and vocabulary. Instruction is self-paced with help from the staff.

The International Language Center offers workstations to assist students learning foreign languages. These include Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and French. American Sign Language can be taken as a class.

The Spartan Theatre performs at least one production per quarter. Auditions are open to students, staff, faculty and community members. Students can earn an Associate in Fine Arts in Drama.
