SFCC Graduate Wins 2018 Transforming Lives Award

Spokane Falls Community College graduate Tracy Fejeran will be honored with a Transforming Lives Award from the Washington State Association of College Trustees (ACT) on Jan. 22 in Olympia. Only five students, out of 388,000 students across 34 colleges, are selected for this prestigious award each year.

SFCC Awarded $649,790 for Five-Year STEM Grant from National Science Foundation

Students at Spokane Falls Community College have a new engineering scholarship opportunity thanks to a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to support low-income students from groups underrepresented in the engineering field—ethnic minorities, women and students from rural areas.

SFCC Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary

Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) is celebrating its 50th anniversary during the 2017-18 academic year. Started in 1967 as part of Spokane Community College on property that was once Fort George Wright, in 1970, college trustees voted to create two separate, but cooperative colleges, and the Fort Wright campus was renamed Spokane Falls Community College.
