Available for ESL Students in Levels Four through Six
With work and home responsibilities, sometimes it is easier to take a class online. This can be a fun, convenient way to improve your vocabulary, grammar and writing. Students can study, prepare for and pass our ESL courses, level four through six.
How does it work?
You begin by taking a placement test so we can determine your English language level. This online class is available for students in levels four through six. To take your placement test, call 509-533-4600 or come to the Adult Education Center, 2310 N. Monroe St., Spokane, to get started.
If you enroll in this online class, you study up to 20 hours a week for 11 weeks, doing your coursework anytime, day or night. You can study at home, in the library or at any other location, including one of our computer labs on Monroe Street or at Spokane Community College's Adult Education, Bldg. 15, in Spokane.
Even though your class is online, you still get the help of an experienced English as a Second Language teacher who oversees your class work and interacts with you on the Internet and telephone.
What do you need?
To take this class, you must know how to use a computer and have access to the Internet. If you do not have Internet service at home, you can access the Internet at public libraries and the college libraries at Spokane Community College (SCC) and Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC).
Tuition is $25 per quarter. Financial assistance is available.
