Complete Your High School Diploma (HS+) or Earn Your GED®

If your high school education was interrupted, Spokane Community College offers two paths to finish high school:

  1. High School+ (HS+)
  2. GED® preparation classes to help you pass the GED tests.

You can start anytime.  Classes are available in person, online, or a mix of both.
Our counselors will help you to figure which is the best pathway for you.

High School Diploma (HS+)

You may have more credits than you realize. Credits are competency-based. Previous education, life, and work experience may count towards your high school diploma. Credits are earned based on skills and abilities, not time.

You must be 18 years old or older to enroll in our High School+ Program.

SEER Learning Community for GED/HS+ Students

The SEER (Supported Education and Employment Enhancing Rehabilitation) Learning Community may be just the spot for you to pursue the completion of your high school credential or GED.

By working with one of the Adult Basic Education (ABE) counselors, you will sign up for

  1. the high school or GED classes you need
  2. at least one SEER class (click on the list found under “current class schedule” on this page)

You will meet with the SEER faculty member (a licensed mental health counselor) at the beginning, middle and end of the quarter. These meetings will ensure that you are gaining the academic and mental health skills necessary for success.

Your classes will take place in a learning lab at the Lodge (3305 W. Whistalks Way) where you will login to your classes remotely with the help of a caring lab monitor.

Please bring your own laptop and headphones (with microphone) to the learning lab or borrow one from our library until you get your own.

If this sounds like the right place for you:
Contact: abeinquiry@scc.spokane.edu, 509-533-7221 or paceservices@scc.spokane.edu, 509-279-6033 and say that you are interested in joining the SEER Learning Community!

We look forward to seeing you in the lab!
