About the Program

If you have a passion for books and you enjoy helping people, consider a career in library services.

In this program, you will learn how libraries support local communities, K-12 learning, lifelong learning and literacy. You’ll become trained to work with automated library systems and gain skills in all areas of library service, including circulation, cataloging, bibliography searches, staff scheduling, interlibrary loans, stack maintenance and more.

Whether you want to start your career as a library technician or paraprofessional, or you are already a library staff member who wants to expand your opportunities, this program will help you take your career where you want it to go.
