Professional Cooperative Education is part of a student's learning experience. The overall goal of the cooperative experience for the
student is to apply education and training in a work environment and to enhance student employability options. Upon successful completion
the student receives credit for the experience.
Each student and cooperative experience location is unique; therefore, a special contract must be developed for each one. The content and
process of the experience will be determined mutually by the work site and the student. The student is required to be an understudy to a
professional, solve problems as assigned, and produce products of value to the organization.
Credit for the cooperative experience is based on a minimum of 33 hours of work per academic credit. Classroom teaching will not be required,
but the student must meet with his or her instructor once a week.
