Cooperative Education

Three people are involved in a Cooperative Education Experience:

The Intern - primarily responsible for identifying and completing experiences relevant to professional development and to see that all course requirements are accounted for and submitted on time.

The Supervisor - in the organization in which the internship is performed-provides instructional supervision as the intern practices various skills.

The Instructor - secures the internship, evaluates the experience, and posts a grade. All work submitted for grading must be typed using a professional format and correct English usage.

During the initial stages of your professional education, you should decide what type of internship you want and need, where it should take place, how much and what kind of practice you need, and whether it should be supplemented by other course work.

Your instructor will provide guidance, help you register for the class, and assist with the internship placement.

These activities should be done before the quarter begins
